Answer 1: The Member ID and Password are already provided to physicians and office managers upon joining Genesis Physicians Group. All you will have to do is enter the doctor's last name along with the last four digits of their Social for the Member ID (ex. Dr. Jane Doe - Doe0001), for the password - enter "temp".
Note: If this is your first time logging in, your password is "temp". For security purposes, please change your password by clicking the "Web Account Management icon on the members' " index page, and select the change my password link.

Answer 2:  No, to avoid having to login under multiple doctors, you may create an office manger login, which will allow you to access all your providers' accounts at once (e.g. Affiliation Reports, Fee Schedules, etc.). You may create an office manager login by 1) logging in under one of your providers; 2)selecting the "Web Account Management" icon on the members index page; 3) Click the Maintain Office manager login link, which will direct you to the section for creating an office manager login.

Answer 3: GPG now offers you the ability to retreive your password by 1) selecting the "Forgot Password link" >> 2) Entering your username into the textbox provided. Note: Your Password will then be automatically emailed to your Genesis Physicians Group email account. If you require further assistance, please call your physician services representative; our main office number is (972) 419-0000.

Answer 4: Yes, with your office manager login and password, you may get information for the physicians in your office whom have an existing GPG web account.

Answer 5: When running fee schedules for a single code across multiple payors, you may select the "All" option to return all values for that code.

Answer 6: GPG makes available the best data that we possibly can. However, some payors do not provide complete fee schedules, which may include the code in question. Contact GPG for further information and assistance at (972) 419-0000.

Answer 7: You want to ensure that your CPT code(s) are hightlighted prior to selecting the contract(s) of interest. Multiple CPT codes may be highlighted by holding down the shift or the ctrl key on your keyboard and selecting the CPT codes of interest. Once your CPT codes are hightlighted, then you may select the contracts of interest and click either the list or cross-tab format button.

Answer 8: Membership and Credentialing application forms, plus other necessary paperwork are available to download to your computer. It is required that you have Acrobat reader software on your machine in order to download them. You can also print them directly from the GPG web site. However, because signatures are required with the application, GPG is not able to accept completed applications via e-mail. In addition, the applications also requires a copy of license, DEA, DPS, etc., which necessitates using a fax or regular mail.

Answer 9: If the new physician is joining the practice of an existing GPG physician, you should already be able to access the members section. However, in order to obtain physician specific information, (affiliation reports for e.g.) the new physician must have completed credentialing, the Opt In/Out process and be submitted to plans. Once submitted to plans, the affiliation report will be available after the next scheduled update to the web site.

Answer 10: In order to obtain your affiliation reports, which is a list of all health plans in which you participate, you must have completed credentialing, the Opt In/Out process and be submitted to plans. Once submitted to plans, the affiliation report will be available after the next scheduled update to the web site.

Answer 11: Yes, once you log into the member section of the web site, there is an icon in the body of the index page, which will allow you to view who your GPG Service Representative is and his or hers contact information.

Answer 12: Once you have opened the file in Adobe Acrobat Reader, simply click "File" -> "Save As", and specify a name and path location for where the file is to be saved.

Answer 13: The information on the web site is updated once every 24 hours.

Answer 14: Currently, no. However, if they have provided a web site address, you may click on that, and go directly to their web site.

Answer 15: Yes, you may use the "Physician Locator" application to perform this action, but only through the member section of the web site.

Answer 16: You may search for physicians within a zip code, or city. However, we do not currently support searches with mileage ranges

Answer 17: Search for the physician by last name, and by product. Please note that this information is GPG specific only, and is subject to change. Always confirm with the office before referring in order to verify that the provider still provides coverage.

Answer 18: The membership to Genesis Physicians Group is an individual physician membership. Once the physician has paid the appropriate membership fees in full, that physician is considered to be a lifetime member of Genesis, until the physician chooses to terminate his/her GPG membership or the GPG Peer Review Committee terminates the physician.

Answer 19: GPG has delegated credentialing status from all of our contracted payors. With the delegated status and the NCQA certification, GPG credentials the physician on behalf of the contracted payors. This means the credentialing process takes place only ONCE to facilitate physician participation in all of the contracts offered through GPG; only one application, one copy of documents, one office site visit, (if applicable) to participate in 40 or more contracts. This allows the physician to focus more on their respective offices and patients, reducing office paperwork, time spent, and intrusion.

Answer 20: If you move your practice, i.e. your primary office location where you see patients, you must notify GPG in writing of your new address, phone, fax, etc. You may also notify us of any changes in your practice via our website (Demographic Updates). You do not need to sign up with GPG or your contracted payors all over again. GPG will simply forward the demographic changes to your contracted payors.  If you are a PCP, OB-GYN, or High Volume Behavioral Health Provider, an office site visit may be required.

Answer 21: Bundling is the practice of charging an all-inclusive package price, or global fee, for all medical services associated with selected procedures.

Answer 22: The contracted fee schedules are not all based on RBRVS or the current year. There are multiple methods of calculating a fee schedule including but not limited to: RBRVS, St. Anthony's or Medical Data Research (MDR). Each contract has a methodology formula that usually includes a base year, percentage/percentile and a default rate. Consequently, the resulting payment is never based on individual CPT codes, rather a computation that considers all 11,000 CPT codes.

Answer 23: The National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA) certification is a designation GPG has for meeting all of the NCQA standards and requirements for credentialing. NCQA is a non-profit independent group that certifies/accredits physician organizations, credentialing verification organizations and managed care organizations. The NCQA certification allows GPG to obtain delegated credentialing status, which in turn minimizes the hassle factor, the time, paperwork and intrusion to the provider offices.
