01/09/2012 : Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO) Certification
In November, the National Council on Quality Assurance (NCQA) re-certified Genesis as a Credentialing Verification Organization (CVO). Genesis is one of only a handful of physician organizations certified in the country, according to the NCQA. This voluntary certification measured 10 criteria of the GPG credentialing process, including ongoing monitoring of sanctions and policies and procedures manual compliance, and included an onsite audit as well to confirm file compliance. The results of this audit found 100% compliance in all 10 criteria areas reviewed. What does this mean for our physicians? They can be confident that their credentialing will occur with best practices, in a timely and accurate manner. Congratulations to the Credentialing department on their excellent scores in this area.
